Bedtime

Claire-claire usually goes through what my mama calls the "bedtime routine" in the room. But tonight is special. Bedtime routine is happening in the living room! It is probably because it's my papa's turn to feed me. My papa always have new ways of doing things. And Claire-claire likes it.

After milk, Claire-claire feels like the Energizer battery bunny. She can go on and on and on...

First, Claire-claire checks out her secret treasury corner where she hides all her favourite things.

Weekend everyday?

This week is a very strange week. First, my Ah Ma doesn't come in the morning to fetch Claire-claire. Then, my mama didn't go out to work. What's even stranger, she locks herself up in the room with a big calculator and a computer Claire-claire has never seen before. But sometimes, she walks out to play with Claire-claire. But my papa tries to keep me occupied rest of the time. Luckily, Claire-claire gets to play with both of them in the afternoons.

Mickey takes it in his stride

Claire-claire has been sick and was too sleepy to bring Mickey out on Zhong Qiu Jie. So, Mickey has to stay home. Still, Mickey keeps his smile. Don't worry, Mickey, when Claire-claire is better, we'll go out together.

Majulah Singapura!

My Yeye taught me the national anthem today. Luckily, my papa was there to hold Claire-claire's hand because it is quite difficult to stand at attention on a springy yellow mattress.

Please go away, Mr Bug!

Claire-claire has been coughing and getting all phelmy. I find it difficult to breathe when trying to sleep. I also puked last night but felt better after. And there were my papa and mama to carry me while I sleep. Thanks, papa and mama!

This morning, Claire-claire felt much better but my papa brought me to see Doctor Vanessa anyway. The medicine made Claire-claire drowsy and I am catching up on sleep, under the watchful eyes of bear-bears and Mr Lion.

Don't worry everyone! 'cos Claire-claire will fight hard and be better soon. My papa says I have a big event coming up but he isn't telling yet.

Lunar birthday

According to the lunar calendar, today is my "chinese" birthday. As part of tradition, my Ah Mah prepared some very interesting things for me to play with. Claire-claire overheard Ah Mah explaining what they mean if Claire-claire picks them first...


1. chicken - Claire will always have things to eat.

2. red eggs - Hmm... If not the above, she will at least have eggs.

3. book - Claire will like to read.

4. scissors - Err... Claire didn't catch this.

5. ruler - Claire may be an engineer.

6. measuring tape - Claire likes to build bigger things.

7. dollar note - Claire will be rich. (My mama provided a big note.)

8. pen - Claire, the poet?

9. abacus - Claire, the accountant?

What did Claire-claire pick?

My mama is a little sad that Claire-claire touched neither the chicken nor the red eggs. Well mama, if only my favourite teddy bear biscuits were there...

Welcome Mr Lion!

This is Mr Lion, my friend. My papa brought him home when Claire-claire was just a small baby. He said it was his first present to me. Now, Mr Lion has decided to join my blog. He wants to help keep count.
