If you are happy

Claire-claire was happy last Sunday because my papa and mama brought me to my favourite spot in church...the stage in the cafe.

This is what Claire-claire did...

Dance-a-long songs

Claire-claire likes music and songs, especially those that Claire-claire knows and can dance along to.

These are some of my favourites:
  1. Twinkle, twinkle little stars (my mama loves my "diamond in the sky" action)

  2. Do-Re-Mi (Claire-claire particularly likes "Tee! A drink with jam and bread" action)

  3. The wheels of the bus (this is the first song which Claire-claire learnt to dance to)

  4. If you're happy and you know it (my all time favourite)

  5. Edelweiss (my bedtime song which Claire-claire has been listening to since I was in my mama's tummy)

  6. Pat a cake (Claire-claire's current favorite pop sing-a-long)

  7. Old MacDonald (with all the animal sounds. Claire-claire has a whole set of animal figures to sing-a-long with.)

  8. Heads and shoulders, knees and toes (Claire-claires loves going round in circles and getting all giddy)

Claire in church

On our way to church this morning, my papa told my mama that we probably might meet Ezekiel di-di there. And true enough, we did!

Ezekiel di-di was very tired and fell asleep, so Uncle Cher An and Aunty Adeline brought him home after mass.

It is quite disappointing that they can't join us for some photo taking. My papa took photos of Claire-claire next to the nativity scene,

the very very tall Christmas tree..

and next to the Santa Clauses....

Fr Mike told Claire-claire that there are no more sweets in Santa's basket, so Claire-claire contributed my chocolates.

Merry Christmas, Everyone!

This is my 2nd Christmas, but Claire-claire don't remember much of my first. This pic that my mama showed me doesn't jog my memory. Does it yours?

Big Bear Ben has recently taken an interest in my milk.

So, Claire-claire shared some with him.

Wee-bit more independent

My papa started tinkering with my cot in the morning and Claire-claire tried to help. According to my mama, Claire-claire can be more independent after my papa has finished. Hmm...wonder what that means?

Independence. It means that Claire-claire can get on and off my cot all by myself. Claire-claire likes being independent. But, being independent can be quite tiring...

The little host

Yesterday, my papa and mama invited some friends to our home. Although Claire-claire was not feeling so well, I did my best to make our guests feel welcomed.

Uncles and aunties know how to play "hi five" and "flying kiss"! Claire-claire had lots of fun playing with them.

Papa, can we get Grindle to join us too?

Letter to papa

Hello papa,

This is what Claire-claire did this evening.

Claire-claire was playing with Mr Snowman when mama came home. It is fun to play with him. He has long arms and legs. And he has teddy bears on them! He is very cold, so he wears socks to keep warm. Claire-claire too. See my socks?

Of course, Mr Snowman didn't keep Claire-claire occupied for long. When Ah-ma started cooking dinner, Claire-claire went to the kitchen to be part of the action. So as not to disturb Ah-ma, Claire-claire helped herself to the veggies. Yummy!

Claire-claire wanted to share them with mama, but she didn't want them. Maybe mama doesn't like her greens. Hmm..papa, please tell mama to eat more veggies. It's good for us!

That's all for today. Papa, please come home soooon..

Imitating Mr Santa

Mr Santa keeps going round and round. When Claire-claire tries to imitate Mr Santa, Claire-claire gets all giddy and falls down.

Claire-claire wonders why Mr Santa is not giddy...

Noodles!

Claire-claire is trying to feed myself, just like my papa and my mama. But it is harder than it looks. Oh, never mind. Claire-claire can just use her hands. It's faster this way...

My mama says there is more noodles in my hair and on the floor than in my tummy. But, Claire-claire still enjoys them..

Happy birthday, papa!

It was my papa's birthday yesterday. My papa had to take an aeroplane that night, so we had a small celebration at home.
Happy birthday, papa! Claire-claire loves you!

My papa is aghast, (but quietly proud)...

First Haircut

Claire-claire had my first haircut at the salon yesterday. Claire-claire gets to watch Dora while having my hair cut! Look at me concentrating hard...

The aunty said Claire-claire did a good job keeping still, so she gave me a red balloon. Claire-claire thinks that haircuts are no big deal. Wonder what was all the fuss about?

Family Day

This morning, my mama told me that we're going to the zoo again. It is my papa's company's Family Day. Claire-claire was very excited all morning, and refused my mama's numerous attempts to get me to nap.

When it is time to go, Claire-claire as always become sleepy and grouchy. And Claire-claire slept in the cab on what my papa calls "my portable mattress".

Unlike our last visit to the zoo, my papa brought us to a very cool air-con room this time. It was so comfy that Claire-Claire decided to continue sleeping and let my papa and my mama enjoy the loud music in peace.

Soon, Claire-claire woke up. Claire-claire was having fun with a rubber band when one aunty insisted that we take a polaroid.

Hmm...see how bored Claire-claire was...
Finally, it's time to go home. Luckily, my papa brought me to visit some of the friends Claire-claire made in our last visit.

Bye-bye, mousedeer. See you again next time...

Claire-claire can usually stand up in my chair on my own. But not this one... Ahhhh! The chair is toppling! Papa, please help me!

Worry Pot

My papa told my mama he got a fright when he saw this photo. Claire-claire wonders why.

Claire-claire wanted to have a closer look at my favourite vegetable and the fastest way to do it is to climb up the table by myself. My papa is such a worry pot.

"Ahh-ple"

Claire-claire has been trying to tell my papa and my mama that it is time for fruits but has not been successful.

Today, they finally understood me when Claire-claire said "Ahh-ple"!

Claire-claire is glad they did.

Let's go to the zoo!

Today, my papa and mama brought Claire-claire to the zoo.

It was a warm, sunny day when we arrived and we were just in time for the elephant show.

Claire-claire didn’t think elephants at the zoo look like my elephants at home. First, they were not multicolored. Second, they looked very much bigger. However, zoo elephants can do interesting tricks and Claire-claire enjoyed clapping to cheer them on.

The sun soon got to us. Luckily, my papa found an air-con’ed viewing gallery where we found a big, handsome lion looking amusedly at us. Don’t you think he looks like Claire-claire’s very own Mr Lion?

Claire-claire wonders what Mr Zoo Lion is thinking about......

We also saw many other animals including some strange ones with very long necks. My mama told me that they are giraffes.

The heat, however, was making Claire-claire very warm and sleepy and my papa decided to bring us home.

But, that was before Claire-claire spotted a small and cute animal in the ditch.
Mama! Come look! Claire-claire found a mouse-deer!

More room, please!

Papa! It's time for Claire-claire to get a bigger bed.

Carrots are crunchy?

Carrots are one of Claire-claire's favourite vegetables. They have a nice colour and are sweet. My papa even says they help keep Claire-claire's eyes bright.

My mama usually cook them until they're soft, so that it's easy for Claire-claire to eat them. Today, Claire-claire found out that carrots can be crunchy too!

Uncle Yoshi's gift

Claire-claire tried on a new dress today. My mama says it is a gift from Uncle Yoshi when Claire-claire was a baby. Uncle Yoshi told my papa that in Japan, girls wear them when they turned one.

See! Isn't this pretty? Claire-claire likes the cute rabbits on it.

Thank you, Uncle Yoshi!

Roseola

My papa and mama have been worried about Claire-claire the whole week. First, Claire-claire came down with a high fever. My papa says it hit 40 degrees Celsius one morning. When the fever finally subsided, a strange rash appeared all over Claire-claire's body. Luckily, Doctor Vanessa confirmed that it is not measles, but Roseola or "fake measles".Even though Claire-claire is not contagious anymore, my mama insists Claire-claire stays at home. My papa says it's so as not to scare others.

But Claire-claire is still having lots of fun!

Brush your teeth please

Claire-claire has a book called "Brush your teeth please". In this book, all the animals brush their teeth, even the fierce-looking lion! Claire-claire wants to have clean teeth like Mr Lion, so I brush my eight little pearlies with my pink toothbrush.

Noisy Clownmobile

Saturday mornings are my favourites. Claire-claire will be home with my papa and mama.

Claire-claire normally goes around the house, checking the cupboards, drawers and boxes to make sure that all the things are in their right places. Most times, Claire-claire does my rounds on foot. But today, Claire-claire did them in my noisy clownmobile!

Of course, Claire-claire has help from my mama.

The Elusive Dimple

My papa is sure Claire-claire has a dimple, somewhere. Today, Claire-claire decided to show it to him.
See, here it is, papa!
