Saturday, a day for errands

Claire-claire loves running errands, especially with my papa and mama. In the morning, Claire-claire helped my papa deliver a large juicer to my grandma. Then, in the afternoon, we went shopping for clothes for my mama and slippers for my papa. In between, Claire-claire even had a haircut!

See, here's me before the haircut. And in the next picture, after the haircut.

After such a busy afternoon, Claire-claire had one last thing to do..Pick up a camera-that-went-for-a-swim for my godpa. As dinner time is drawing near, my mama bought me yummy chocolate bread to keep my energy level up and grouchiness at bay.

What a busy day! Can't wait for dinner...Claire-claire's papa brought us for Italian. It was a good start with a nice warm chicken soup, but that's all. There was the artichokes and olives pizza which Claire-claire gave a wide berth. As for Spaghetti Bolognaise, well, the noodles are quite fun to play with - for awhile.
Now, finally some real food....milk!My papa thinks Claire-claire has very cheena tastes. Give Claire-claire her milk, mee tai mak (it's a kind of noodles) and porridge anyday. Pizzas and spaghetti? Perhaps another time.

Happy Birthday, Yi Yi!

We celebrated my Yi-yi's birthday yesterday at a Cantonese restaurant. My mama said that we were celebrating it earlier because my Yi-yi will be leaving for a six-month overseas working stint two days before her birthday.

Claire-claire always enjoys the food at good Chinese restaurants, and here too! From the unsweetened chrysanthemum tea...

...to pieces of lightly salted, but extremely delicious roast pork, and..my all time favourite, corn on the cob!

After a scrumptious lunch, Claire-claire clapped hands and sang birthday song. My Yi-yi tried to get Claire-claire to help blow the candles, but Claire-claire is too shy..

Happy Birthday, Yi-yi!

Fingers in my ear

My grandma and my mama brought me out for lunch. It was very crowded and very noisy. But no fear, Claire-claire had a solution. Fingers in my ear!

My mama told my grandma that the first time Claire-claire did this was when we walked past a noisy pub during our holiday. They have no idea where Claire-claire learnt it from and Claire-claire is not telling.

We have been away

We have been away at a beach resort. Claire-claire enjoyed myself tremendously as Claire-claire get to swim every day!

When Claire-claire wakes up in the morning, Claire-claire is all ready to go, but always have to wait for my papa and my mama to get ready. Hurry, papa and mama! No time to lose!

When at the pool, Claire-claire enjoys being the water cannon girl.

And playing with Mama-made rain..

When on the beach, Claire-claire enjoys the cool sea breeze on the deck-chair. Actually, in the beginning, this is the only place Claire-claire will be at on the beach...
Then, my papa introduced me to the sea and the waves...Only then did Claire-claire run on the sand and play with the cool waves which are rushing and crashing onto my knees.

My toys

Claire-claire just turned 19 months and has a new behaviour that took my mama by surprise: my new found sense of possession.

Let me tell you what happened.... On Sunday, we visited my grandparents as usual. Claire-claire had my favourite doggie and rubber ball with me. When cousin Caden tried to play with my toys, Claire-claire protested and ran away with them. Claire-claire kept a close watch on my cousin in case he takes my toys. My mama asked me to share, but Claire-claire didn't want to.

My mama says that this is quite unusual as Claire-claire is usually happy to share my food, even offering my last raisin to my papa.

Why doesn't my mama understand? Can you help me tell my mama please?
